French Open 2013 Women’s Singles Finals: Maria Sharapova vs Serena Williams

No. 1 seed Serena Williams takes on No. 2 seed Maria Sharapova Saturday afternoon June 8th for the Women’s singles final match at the Court Philippe Chatrier (Center Court), Paris, France. Game time is scheduled at 3:00pm Saturday June 8, 2013.

Serena Williams beats Sara Errani in straight sets 6-0, 6-1 in their semifinal match to reach the finals.

In the other semifinal match, No. 2-seed Maria Sharapova advances to the finals for the second year in a row, defeating No. 3 Victoria Azarenka of Belarus in 3 sets 6–1, 2–6, 6–4.

UPDATE:  Serena Williams wins 2013 French Open Title.  Serena shows dominant performance at the French Open, beating defending champion Maria Sharapova 6-4, 6-4 for her 16th Grand Slam title. Williams collected her second Roland Garros title.
