Tomas Berdych beats Roger Federer, advances to Wimbledon 2010 Semifinals

Tomas Berdych upset top-seeded Roger Federer in the men’s quarterfinals Wednesday at Wimbledon, 6-4, 3-6, 6-1, 6-4.

Berdych, the No. 12 seed, advances to his first Wimbledon semifinal, where he will face Novak Djokovic.

Djokovic reached his second Wimbledon semifinal by beating unseeded Lu Yen-Hsun 6-3, 6-2, 6-2.

The third-seeded Djokovic lost only 12 points in 13 service games Wednesday and never faced a break point. He also returned well and won the vast majority of the extended rallies.

Djokovic also reached the semifinals three years ago.

Lu upset Andy Roddick to become a Grand Slam quarterfinalist for the first time.
