World Cup 2014 Asian Qualifiers: Philippines-Azkals vs Sri Lanka Brave Reds
The Philippine National Football team – Azkals will face Sri Lanka Brave Reds for their the second leg of the World Cup 2014 Asian Qualifier Round 1 to be held at Rizal Memorial Football Stadium in Manila on Sunday July 3, 2011 3:30PM.
The Azkals settled for a draw against Sri Lanka, 1-1, in the first leg of the qualifier held last June 29, 2011 at the Sugathadasa Stadium in Colombo, Sri Lanka. The Philippines just need to secure at least a tie 0-0 to advance into Round 2. A 1-1 draw will need extra time and if the score remains, Penalty shootout will be the deciding factor. And a 2-2 draw will see Sri Lanka advance to Round 2 against Kuwait.
