League One Sheffield United will take on Hull City in the other semifinal match of FA Cup 2014 at Wembley Stadium on the weekend of April 13.

Three goals in nine second-half minutes booked Hull City’s place in the semis, and only the second-ever trip to Wembley in the club’s history, as they beat Premier League side Sunderland 3-0 on Sunday. Hull City will meet League One side Sheffield United at Wembley after the Blades beat Championship basement boys Charlton Athletic 2-0 at Brammall Lane.

In beating Charlton, Sheffield United Blades became the first club from the third tier to reach the semifinals of the competition since Wycombe in 2001. Sheffield United manager Nigel Clough was a losing finalist at Wembley in the 1991 FA Cup as a player with Nottingham Forest and he will be aiming to take his side all the way to the showpiece, with a Yorkshire team guaranteed a place thanks to Sunday’s draw.

The FA Cup Finals is scheduled for Wembley Stadium, London on 17 May 2014.

UPDATE: Hull reached the FA Cup final for the first time in their history after a thrilling 5-3 win over Sheffield United at Wembley. Hull City book a return date at the national stadium against Arsenal on May 17 for the finals tie.
