David Haye vs Audley Harrison Boxing Fight Live
Dubbed as the ‘Best of Enemies’, David Haye (24-1, 22 KOs) will defend his WBA Heavyweight title against Audley Harrison (27-4, 20 KOs) at the MEN Arena in Manchester, Lancashire, United Kingdom this Saturday November 13, 2010 4PM ET to be televised live on Sky 3D.
This bout will be the biggest all-British World Heavyweight title fight since 1993’s Lewis vs Bruno classic.
Haye retained his WBA World Heavyweight title at the M.E.N Arena earlier this year with an impressive 9th round TKO over the number one-ranked John Ruiz.
Haye will return to the Manchester venue to take on his friend-turned-foe Harrison who has vacated his European crown for this fight. The winner of the ‘Best of Enemies’ event between WBA champion Davis Haye and challenger Audley Harrison will have the change to face the WBA mandatory heavyweight challenger Ruslan Chagaev.
Puerto Rican referee Luis Pabon will be the third man in the ring. The three judges are Terry O’Connors (UK), John Coyle (UK) and Paul Thomas (UK). The fight supervisor is Dave Roden (UK)
Best of Enemies
The first area of interest is the personal history between the two fighters. It has been well documented that Haye and Harrison used to be friends before their relationship turned sour. Harrison firmly believes that it was a one way friendship, with him giving and Haye taking. When both fighters were at the outset of their careers, it was Harrison who had the lucrative BBC television deal. He helped to get Haye on the shows and raise the fighter’s profile. He even used to let Haye sleep over at his house. When Harrison lost the BBC deal and his career took a dip, he looked to Haye, who now had his own TV deal, to return the favour. However, he found the door firmly shut- something he still feels bitter about today. You can clearly see the animosity between the fighters at any media gathering.
Weigh-in results UPDATE: – Heavyweight title challenger Audley Harrison outweighed WBA champion Davis Haye by 43 pounds. Haye weighed 210.5 lbs., while Harrison scaled in at 253.5 lbs. Former champ Lennox Lewis was on hand at the weigh-in.

UPDATE: David Haye retained his WBA Heavyweight title by defeating Harrison via TKO in Round 3, 1:53, on Saturday night at the M.E.N. Arena in Manchester, England. Little action in round one brought booing from the crowd. Haye was a bit more aggressive in round two, while Harrison was again very passive. Haye finally opened up in round three and floored Audley with a barrage of punches. Harrison beat the count, but referee Luis Pabon stopped it moments later after more punishment from Haye.
