World Cup 2014 Brasil Brazil logoThe 2014 FIFA World Cup will be the 20th FIFA World Cup, the premier international football tournament. It is scheduled to take place between 12 June and 13 July 2014 in Brazil.

In the Opening Ceremony, the official World Cup song for 2014 “We Are One (Ole Ola)” will be performed by global Superstars Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull together with Brazilian star Claudia Leitte in June in Brazil, as announced by FIFA.

Following the success of Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™, the new single, written and co-produced by Pitbull, is set to bring the passion of Brazil to the world when it is officially released by Sony Music later this year. Capturing the colourful atmosphere of the 2014 host nation, the song will ignite the excitement felt by football fans around the world in the lead-up to the 2014 FIFA World Cup™.

“I’m honored to join Jennifer Lopez and Claudia Leitte at the FIFA World Cup to bring the world together,” said Pitbull, according to a press release on the FIFA website. “I truly believe that this great game and the power of music will help unify us, because we are best when we are one.”

“We Are One (Ole Ola)” is scheduled to debut before the 2014 FIFA World Cup, and is to be part of the “Official 2014 FIFA World Cup Album” to be released by Sony Music Entertainment. There will also be a “We Are One (Ole Ola)” video.
