GAME RECAP

Shelvin Mack scored 23 points on 8-of-11 shooting and Zach Hahn came up big off the bench with eight second-half points in the Final Four on Saturday night, leading Butler back to the national title game with a 70-62 win over upstart VCU.

Butler came a bounce away from winning it all last year and is determined to have a different ending this time around. The Bulldogs (28-9) will play the winner of Kentucky-Connecticut for the national title Monday night.

VCU’s wild run finally came to an end. Dissed and dismissed after being selected, the Rams (28-12) won five games to become only the third No. 11 seed to reach the Final Four. But VCU couldn’t overcome Butler’s unforgiving defense. Jamie Skeen (27) and Bradford Burgess (12) were the only Rams in double figures. Source: ESPN
