Microsoft’s most recent Windows version of the Microsoft Office System or Microsoft’s productivity suite is the Microsoft Office 2007. It was made available to retail customers on January 30, 2007. In this Office 2007 System, Microsoft decided to change the file extensions in which the old .DOC file format has now been replaced by .DOCX file format or .DOCM (Office Open XML) format.
With this, problem occur if you have an older version of Word 2000, XP/2002 or 2003 as it can’t be opened directly.What if someone emailed you with a file attachment of .docx and you only have Word 2000, XP/2002 or 2003?
The Miss Universe 2009 will be held at the Atlantis Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas today, August 23, 2009 at 9PM ET. It is the 58th Miss Universe beauty pageant wherein the outgoing title holder Miss Venezuela – Dayana Mendoza will crown her successor. Right now, some bloggers and webmasters are integrating Adsense for search boxes on their websites so that their users can allow to search for keywords, articles or posts and at the same time earning a chance to get click revenue. But I have been asking myself (or maybe some out there are also wondering) if it is okay or fine to use our own Google Adsense for Search boxes to search keywords, articles or posts in our own site? The answer is yes, it is fine to use it as long as you don’t click on the Ads that appear in the results page. Disclaimer : This may not work for some blogs running WordPress 2.5 but hey, this fix and workaround worked for me fine.
After upgrading to WordPress 2.5, I have not encountered problems so far regarding all my plugins except for the WP-PostViews Version 1.20 plugin of LesterChan.net for which upgrading it to version 2.20 breaks the plugin because for some reason wp-dbmanager is showing as an upgrade for wp-postViews 1.20 Widget . Anyway, not upgrading the WP-PostViews 1.20 still worked for WordPress 2.5. So don’t upgrade it to version 2.20.
So far I have been enjoying the new Wordpress 2.5, but not up to now for about a week now, the image upload functionality and the inserting of image to post have not been working for me. After clicking the upload button, the login appeared (image 1) and I typed in the account. It then goes back to the upload process, after clicking again the upload button, this time “HTTP error. An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later ” occurred after the crunching process (image 2). I have tested and tried so many times uploading images to all my blogs, but still can’t get through. I have been in constant contact with my web host but still no workaround as of the moment.
Google Adsense update. The latest post on Google Adsense blog talks about “Another look at optimizations” which mentions two optimization guidelines for your site with Adsense Ads.
Matt of WordPress.org posted a sneak peek of the upcoming version WordPress 2.5 and is just about to be released anytime soon. Features to be watched for is a customizable dashboard, multi-file upload, built-in galleries, one-click plugin upgrades, tag management, built-in Gravatars, full text feeds, and faster load times. Is that what you’re looking for in an upgrade?

The software is basically done and stable, and could be released today, but we’d like to incorporate feedback from a wider audience before making it available to the general public. After a few days of your feedback we’ll set a final release date. Personally, I can’t wait.
