The UEFA Champions League 2011 Final match between Barcelona and Manchester United will be held at Wembley Stadium in London on May 28, 2011 Saturday 20:45 CEST. Internazionale (Inter Milan) were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Schalke 04 in the quarter-finals but Schalke was eliminated by Man U in the semis.

Barcelona defeated rivals Real Madrid 3–1 on aggregate in the semi-finals to make it through, while Manchester United qualified after a 6–1 aggregate win over Schalke 04.

This will be the third time that both Man United and Barcelona will meet in a European Cup final. The first time was the 1991 in the former UEFA Cup Winners Cup which United won, the second was the 2009 in Rome where Barcelona won.

The winners will play against the winners of the 2011 UEFA Europa League Final in the 2011 UEFA Super Cup in Monaco on 26 August 2011, and also enter the semi-finals of the 2011 FIFA Club World Cup in December 2011.

Pedro, Messi and Villa clinch second Champions League crown in three years for Guardiola. Barca’s front three all got on the score-sheet as the Catalan giants saw off the English challenge to collect the trophy and seal a place in the history books.

Barcelona is the champions of Europe after producing a scintillating performance to defeat Manchester United 3-1 at Wembley Stadium on Saturday.

In what proved to be a one sided affair, Pedro gave the Catalan giants the advantage only for Wayne Rooney to cancel out his strike in the first half. In the second half, however, Lionel Messi and David Villa took center stage, adding their names to the scoresheet in an imperious win.
