2010 FIBA World Championship for men is next and is held in Turkey. The event starts on Saturday August 28, 2010 and runs up to the championship day on September 12, 2010 Sunday (August 28 – September 12). It is co-organized by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), Turkish Basketball Federation and the 2010 Organizing Committee. It is considered as prestigious a competition as the Olympic Basketball Tournament.

The FIBA world championship is a world basketball tournament for men’s national teams hosted quadrennially by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
