San Diego Chargers (11-3) vs Tennessee Titans (7-7) Preview
Don’t expect any Christmas cheer when the San Diego Chargers visit the Tennessee Titans on Friday night. Two years ago, the Chargers won in overtime at Tennessee in a tough, nasty game. Several players were hurt, and four players were fined a total of $32,500.
San Diego’s Shawne Merriman sprained his left knee, and he and fellow outside linebacker Shaun Phillips still think it was a cheap shot. Five weeks after that game, the Chargers beat the Titans again, in the playoffs in San Diego.
Phillips expects the same kind of game when the AFC West champion Chargers (11-3) try to win their 10th straight game and lock up the No. 2 playoff seed against a Titans team barely alive in the playoff hunt. Tennessee is 7-7.
The Chargers clinched their fourth straight division title with Sunday’s 27-24 win against Cincinnati. The Chargers would love to get the No. 2 seed so they can take advantage of a first-round bye.
The Titans said Monday they have lost two starting defenders to season-ending injuries with top tackler Keith Bulluck out with a torn left ACL, and linebacker David Thornton having surgery to repair his shoulder and pectoral muscle.
The two last met in the 2007 AFC Divisional Playoff Game wherein the Chargers’ defense dominated in a 17-6 win over the Titans. Last week in NFL Week 15, a 52-yard field goal by Nate Kaeding lifted the Chargers over the Bengals, 27-24 while the Titans knocked off the visiting Dolphins in overtime, 27-24.
So, let’s all wait and watch Chargers vs Titans live stream online, Friday night.

Game Recap
Chargers secure 1st Round Bye. Philip Rivers threw two touchdowns passes, LaDainian Tomlinson ran for two scores, and the San Diego Chargers beat the Tennessee Titans 42-17 on Friday night to grab the AFC’s No. 2 seed and a first-round bye in the playoffs.
Tennessee Titans quarterback Vince Young (10) scores a touchdown on a 3-yard run against San Diego Chargers defenders Tim Dobbins (51) and Quentin Jammer (23) in the second quarter of an NFL football game on Friday, Dec. 25, 2009, in Nashville, Tenn.
The AFC West champs streaked to their 10th straight win and tied the 1970-74 Miami Dolphins for most consecutive wins in a month with their 18th in December dating to 2006. The Dolphins won 18 in a row in November.
Darren Sproles caught a TD pass and ran for two more as San Diego (12-3) squashed the Titans’ dreams of becoming the NFL’s first team to start 0-6 and rebound to make the playoffs. Tennessee (7-8) had hoped to top what the 1994 Chargers did in reaching the postseason after an 0-4 start. (Source: Yahoo! Sports)
