Philadelphia Eagles vs Washington Redskins Preview

This Monday Night Football game is a classic NFC match of the East coast.  In their last meeting, LaRon Landry and Fred Smoot tackled Reggie Brown inches short of the end zone and the Redskins held on for a 10-3 victory over the Eagles in Week 16 last season 2008.

Coming off a stunning loss, the Eagles may opt for a more balanced offensive approach Monday night when they visit the regrouping Redskins, who could undergo a more significant change under new play-caller Sherm Lewis.

Last weeks game, Philadelphia (3-2) was the heavy favorite to win its third consecutive game against a struggling opponent last week, but it lost 13-9 to the Raiders which had been outscored 96-16 over its previous three games while Washington’s (2-4) offensive struggles continued and absorbed a 14-6 loss to previously winless Kansas City.
