New York Jets (7-7) vs Indianapolis Colts (14-0) Preview
Perfection still a possibility. In order to preserve their undefeated season, the Colts must beat the Jets. Will they get it done? Although the Indianapolis Colts haven’t divulged exactly what they’ll do while chasing an unbeaten season with nothing left to gain, it doesn’t appear there will be any let-up – no matter what New York Jets coach Rex Ryan prefers.
Peyton Manning and the Colts will look for their 24th straight regular-season victory Sunday when they host Ryan’s Jets, who must end Indianapolis’ bid for perfection to realistically boost their playoff hopes.
Manning has guided the NFL’s top-rated passing attack to leave Indianapolis (14-0) as the league’s lone unbeaten team after New Orleans fell to Dallas last Saturday. The quarterback is poised to make his 206th straight start for the Colts, who have already clinched home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs.
The two last met in Week 4 of 2006 Season wherein Three different Colts rushed for touchdowns to lead Indianapolis past New York, 31-28. Last week in NFL Week 15, Indianapolis rallied past Jacksonville for a thrilling 35-31 victory while New York Jets collapsed against Atlanta in a less-than-thrilling 10-7 loss.

Game Recap
With Manning sidelined, Jets end Colts’ quest of perfection 29-15. The Indianapolis Colts kept saying 16-0 didn’t matter. Apparently it didn’t.
The previously unbeaten Colts (14-1) pulled Peyton Manning and a handful of other starters with a 15-10 lead and 5:36 left in the third quarter, and the Jets took advantage to rally for a 29-15 victory that ended the NFL’s longest regular-season winning streak at 23.
Brad Smith opened the second half with a 106-yard kickoff return to give New York (8-7) a 10-9 lead. The Colts regained the lead at 15-10 when Donald Brown scored on a 1-yard run.
But after Manning left, Marques Douglas returned a fumble from Manning’s replacement, Curtis Painter, 1 yard for a score. The Jets sealed it with a 43-yard field goal and Thomas Jones’ 1-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
Colts quarterback Peyton Manning became the fourth player in NFL history to pass for at least 50,000 yards against the New York Jets on Sunday. Manning entered the game needing 159 yards to reach the milestone. He surpassed the mark on a 24-yard completion to Austin Collie, and joins Brett Favre, Dan Marino and John Elway as the only quarterbacks to do so.
Manning might not be finished yet. He needs one more 300-yard game to tie the NFL single-season record. He has nine, one short of Rich Gannon’s mark, set with Oakland in 2002 and tied by New Orleans’ Drew Brees last season.
With the Colts leading 15-10 in the third quarter, Manning was replaced by backup Curtis Painter, a rookie from Purdue who had not appeared in an NFL game until Sunday. (Source: Yahoo! Sports)
