Venue: Bank of America Stadium, Charlotte, NC
Minnesota Vikings (11-2) vs Carolina Panthers (5-8) Preview
Vikings can secure NFC North title with win against the Panthers. But Carolina is seeking for an upset victory. Favre will look to help the Vikings clinch their second straight division title when they visit the Carolina Panthers on Sunday night, although he may not have rookie standout Percy Harvin to throw to.
While Minnesota (11-2) has secured a spot in the postseason, Favre threw three interceptions in the last two games – equaling his total through the first 11 – and three touchdowns after tossing seven in the previous two contests.
The win against the Bengals allowed Minnesota (11-2) to secure a playoff spot. With a victory or a Green Bay loss at Pittsburgh on Sunday, the Vikings will clinch the NFC North for the second straight season.
Harvin, one of Favre’s favorite third-down targets, is second on the team with 681 receiving yards and six touchdowns. He is also averaging 29.0 yards on kickoff returns, second in the league, with two TDs. The Vikings are trying to reach the 12-win mark for the first time since going 15-1 in 1998.
Minnesota will be visiting Carolina for the first time in four years. The Panthers (5-8) have lost three of four and are coming off a 20-10 defeat to New England on Sunday.
The last time the two teams met was in Week 3 of last season wherein Antoine Winfield’s 19-yard fumble return touchdown helped the Vikings knock off the Panthers, 20-10. Last week in NFL Week 14, Minnesota manhandled visiting Cincinnati, 30-10 while Carolina sputtered to the finish line at New England, losing 20-10.
So, let’s all wait and watch Vikings vs Panthers live, Sunday night.

Game Recap
Presented with an opportunity to get back into the race for the best record in the NFC, Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings fell flat with another Sunday night dud.
Steve Smith caught the go-ahead touchdown pass and his long catch and run set up the clinching score and the Carolina Panthers used a ferocious defense to stifle Favre, Adrian Peterson and the Vikings in a 26-7 victory.
Minnesota Vikings’ Adrian Peterson (28) reacts after his touchdown run against the Carolina Panthers in the first half of an NFL football game in Charlotte, N.C., Sunday, Dec. 20, 2009.
Hours after clinching the NFC North when Green Bay lost, the Vikings (11-3) failed to move within a game of NFC-leading New Orleans a night after the Saints’ first loss of the season.
Surprisingly, the best quarterback on the field wasn’t the 40-year-old Favre, but Matt Moore. In his third start for the injured Jake Delhomme, Moore threw three touchdown passes. (Source: Yahoo! Sports)
