After the Los Angeles Lakers handed the Orlando Magic a 100-75 thumping in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, here we are again waiting for NBA Finals Game 2 which will be this coming Sunday June 7, 2009. Coverage on ABC begins at 8:00 PM ET live from Los Angeles Staples Center. Lakers leads the series, 1-0.

UPDATE: Los Angeles Lakers Wins Game 2 in the NBA 2009 Finals. Score 101-96 . Lakers now leads the series with a commanding 2-0 against the Magic.

It was all Los Angeles after Orlando took a 33-27 lead. Some people observed how focused Kobe Bryant looked at the start of Game 1. He took a lot of shots as he was taking advantage of the mismatch against Courtney Lee and Michael Pietrus. They were no match for Kobe all game long.  Kobe had 40 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, not bad. With his outstanding performance in Game 1, Kobe Bryant now has 10 40-point playoff games in his NBA career. The 25-point victory is also the sixth-largest Game 1 Finals spread and the largest since 1992.
