One of the remaining unbeaten teams left in the National Football League (NFL) today is the Indianapolis Colts . The Colts aim for their 11th straight win and hopes to leave Houston with an 11-0 record. Will this be accomplished this Sunday afternoon and stay unbeaten in 11 games this season?

The Houston Texans try to overcome and blemish the Colts’ perfect record this Sunday. Although the Indianapolis Colts have a perfect record, they’ve been quite vulnerable over the past few weeks, escaping with several close calls in the 4th quarter. The Houston Texans have been on the opposite end of the spectrum, losing back-to-back games in agonizing fashion—including once at Indianapolis.

The Colts move closer to locking up a playoff spot Sunday. Indianapolis (10-0) holds a three-game lead in the chase for the AFC’s top seed and its 19-game winning streak is the second-longest in NFL history behind New England’s 21-game run from 2006-08.

Houston hasn’t had the same luck as Indianapolis. The Texans (5-5) entered the Nov. 8 matchup riding a three-game winning streak and in the thick of the playoff picture, but they’ve lost their last two by identical 20-17 scores sandwiched around a bye week.

The Texans know they’ll probably have to win a majority of their last six games to secure their first playoff berth in eight seasons. Getting a win against Indianapolis might not be that easy, considering the Colts are 14-1 versus the Texans.

The two last met three weeks ago wherein Kris Brown missed a field goal as time expired, giving the Colts a 20-17 win. Last week in NFL (Week 11), the Colts were once again able to repel a serious challenge to their unbeaten record, beating the Ravens, 17-15 while Brown missed yet another field goal as time expired in a 20-17 loss to the Titans.

UPDATE: After trailing 0-14 in the 1st Quarter, 7-20 in the 2nd Quarter, the Colts stormed back and then take the lead for good to win against the Texans, 35-27 to notch their 11th straight win this season.

Game Recap

The Indianapolis Colts stayed perfect by extending their dominance of the Houston Texans.

Peyton Manning threw for three touchdowns and the Colts rallied from a 13-point halftime deficit Sunday for a 35-27 win, their 20th straight regular-season victory. Indianapolis (11-0) is one win shy of the New England Patriots’ NFL-record 21-game run from 2006-08.

The Colts improved to 15-1 against Houston (5-6).

Manning threw two first-half interceptions, but had a pair of second-half TD passes, including a 4-yarder to Dallas Clarkthat gave the Colts a 21-20 lead with about nine minutes left.

Clint Session stretched the lead to 28-20 when he returned an interception by Matt Schaub 26 yards for a touchdown seconds later. Schaub fumbled on Houston’s next possession and Chad Simpson’s touchdown run put the game out of reach. (Source: Yahoo! Sports)
