Start Using Your PayPal Now
To enroll your UnionBank Visa Card in PayPal, first CLICK HERE to sign up for a PayPal account. Be sure to select Philippines as the country where you live and use U.S. Dollars as the primary currency. Your online transactions will automatically be converted to Philippine Pesos when billed.
When asked to enter your credit card or debit card number, enter the full 16-character card number and then the CVV. Make sure you enter your address of record at UnionBank as your billing address. For UnionBank Visa Credit Cards, use the address that appears on your monthly statement; and for EON Visa Electron and eWallet, use the address found on your Profile Page at the unionbankph.com online banking site.
After doing this, you have completed the basic enrollment which allows you to transact online up to a maximum amount determined by PayPal, regardless of your available balance or credit limit. However, to get FULL USE* of your UnionBank card, you will be automatically enrolled in PayPal’s Expanded Use Program.
Expanded Use Enrollment
- When you register your UnionBank Visa card, PayPal will charge you the equivalent of US$ 1.95 for expanded use. Pay Pal will credit you back the US$ 1.95 amount on your first PayPal transaction. For EON and eWallet cards, your account must have the equivalent of US$ 1.95 in pesos in order for the expanded use transaction to go through when you first enroll your card.
- You will then be issued a 4-digit Expanded Use Number. But, please allow 5 days for the Expanded Use Number to reflect on your statement.
- For UnionBank Visa Credit Cards, you can find it on your next monthly paper statement or by viewing your Visa
Transaction History online.
- For EON Visa Electron and eWallet Card holders, please contact the UnionBank Customer Service Call Center at 84-186 and ask the customer service agent to provide you with the 4-digit PayPal expanded use code.
- Once you have this number, go back to the My Account Overview section of the PayPal web site and click on “Finish Expanded Use Enrollment” to enter the 4-digit number.
- Upon entering your Expanded Use code, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that your credit card has been verified.
Congratulations! Your PayPal account is now verified for Expanded Use. For more details on linking your UnionBank Card with PayPal you can visit UnionBank’s Customer Service page, contact the Call Center hotline at 84-186 or visit the PayPal help site. Update:
For outside Manila card holders, Please contact UnionBank Customer Service Call Center at 1-800-1888-2277. I’ve just talked to one of their Customer Service agent and told me to call back1 4-5 banking days to allow the Expanded Use Number to reflect on my statement. I’ve added my EON debit card last Sunday September 30, 2007, so I’ll be getting my 4-digit PayPal expanded use code tomorrow or this friday October 5, 2007. I”ll update you for more soon.

I’m also a member of Paypal. I don’t have a Union Visa. I tried my BPI Mastercard; but it was declined. I used my EPIC Amex instead. I have not enrolled in the Expanded Use Program yet.

also guys dont be so concentrated with paypal try also other service like World Pay, Moneybookers etc. For me i prefer Moneybookers for so many reasons. They have much faster remittance than paypal. I got my money within few days unlike Paypal that takes time with Prayers to Jesus “Hindi sna maipit”. You mean by PIN is the Expuse # which will make your card verified in PayPal. Please follow step #3. If still no luck at calling their UnionBank Customer Service Call Center at 1-800-1888-2277. You can email them and ask for your EXPUSE #.

I can’t log in to the Union Bank Eon cyber account though I got my pin and card number. Can you tell me whats the correct format in typing my Card Number (16 digit). Is it ‘xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx xxx’? because it always prompts me “please enter valid Card Number”. can u please email me the answer? i am so bothered about this.

I’ve been an eon card holder for 2 years… weird thing is since december of last year until today (feb 2009) I can’t seem to access my eon cyberaccount… during log-in the same message would appear “please enter a valid card number / user id”. I called their customer care hotline and the agent told me he would make a report regarding my problem, I requested my account to reset. He said wait for 1-2 banking days… it’s been 5 days… no e-mail yet from unionbank.

hi pinky my case is different. last 2 months ago i have a problem with my withdrawal, it took 2 months before they fixed it,my money went to universe and after 2 months i am surprised that my money’s back ..why,how, i don’t know. now another problem is i can’t check my account on-line after i enter my user id and password it shows change transaction password which i really don’t know how..this sucks !

I’m sorry but right now you cannot use your EON Account to fund your Paypal Account. But when you do use your Paypal account to make a purchase, it will automatically get the funds from your EON Account since it’s already linked.
