UFC 117 Weigh-In Results [Video/Photos]

The official weigh-in event for UFC 117: “Silva vs Sonnen” took place August 6, 2010 Friday 7PM ET at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California, the same venue that will hosts Saturday’s pay-per-view event. UFC 117 live coverage for tomorrow will begin at 7PM PT/10PM ET August 7th live on PPV.

Among the 22 competitors weighing in are Middleweight champ Anderson Silva and fellow headliner Chael Sonnen, who will meet in the main event and with co-main-event fighter Thiago Alves going against Jon Fitch.

Silva (184.5 pounds) and Sonnen (185) were on weight, but the co-main-event fighter Thiago Alves was a half pound over and fined 20 percent of his purse. Alves, who’s struggled with weight-cutting in the past, weighed 171.5 pounds, a half pound over the 171-pound limit for his No. 1 contender’s bout with Jon Fitch. Alves’ fine is paid directly to Fitch
