I just wanted to share my successful withdrawal of funds from my PayPal account to my Philippine bank account at UnionBank. I transferred my funds last January 30, 2008 around 3:00Pm in the afternoon and the funds appeared on my UnionBank account yesterday, February 1, 2008. It only took 2 days to appear on my Philippine bank account.

Note: I have been withdrawing funds many times now from my PayPal to my debit card with a $5 charge. But with this PayPal to Philippine Bank withdrawal transaction, no charge is deducted and it is fast. This is great news indeed. :) I will try to use BDO savings account next time when my PayPal funds is enough to be withdrawn. Get PayPal Account Now!

I would like to asked since you have said that your transactions with Union bank account went well. Can you do the step by step guide?. Have you used other unionbank account number or just your EOn bank account number card?. Because I got problems withdrawing money through EON debit card so I would like to asked if we can still get used of EON card?.If yes what is the our bank account number in EON?.

I am using my UnionBank EON account and this EON account is also a savings account.

Your EON Bank account number is the 12 digit number located below your 16 digit EON card number.

I assume that your PayPal account is already verified, then you can use PayPal to bank withdrawal process. Yes, just use your savings account # of your EON and your good to go.

Here’s the technique i used guys para mabilis ko nakuha ung remittance ko from Paypal. Before withdrawing from my Union Eon card. I added my UnionBank account in Paypal account (Add Bank) by entering the Union Bank Swift Codes. Here’s the Philippine Banks Swift Code list visit: http://www.jedzlinks.com/2008/02/06/philippine-banking-swift-codes/ to retrieve your Bank Swift Codes then after I added ska ako nagwithdraw which I received after 3 days. It work for me, hope it will also work with you guys. Good Luck!

Seems like withdrawal to bank is working for most….but stay away from withdrawal to EON card until they have sorted the problems out.
Seems like everybody that withdrew to EON card from around the 23rd-26th Jan onwards is still “pending”.
    I have 2 (26th and 30th Jan) still pending.
Takes a few days after you get “completed” in your withdrawal to bank, till the money appears in your account, but it will come :)

For those whose Paypal withdrawals to EON card (using withdraw to your card option) still pending, I have confirmed with Paypal customer support that they are indeed having a problem getting funds through with a credit card company, and they’re still trying to fix it. So for those who are planning to withdraw to their EON card, DO NOT DO IT, better add your EON Unionbank account as a bank account to your Paypal, then withdraw using the Withdraw To Your Bank Account).

You can read the details here: here.

this worked for me last feb no probs. pero i tried withdrawing last march 1 and march 5. status was completed on paypal pero it didn’t arrive in my eon account! it returned to my paypal account on march 11. the second one i withdrew on march 5 hasn’t returned yet. this is a big problem. how am i supposed to withdraw now?!

  75. 77
    khassandra // March 16th, 2008 at 11:49 am

I guess, I’m going to use the same process now as I’m having problems withdrawing to my eon card and credit card. My eon-card was not accepted. I guess it’s because I didn’t deposit money to it yet or maybe it was not yet activated?

As for my credit card, I’m being asked to verify it by adding the code they attached to my billing statement last March 2007. Unlucky me, I can’t find that statement now so I have to request a new code. I can’t check my statement online to check on the new code, so I still have to wait for about a month for my latest card statement. This means I can’t withdraw yet. I’ll try to open a new BDO account tomorrow. Hope this will simplify the problem.

    guys,

i just signed up my paypal account because my customer sent me payment. when i signed up, im required to link a card to verify my account. Question:

1.Should it be a credit card or a regular debit/savings card?

2.As I know verification is ideal so limitations will be lifted. For example i opt not to have it verified, can I still withdraw money from paypal to my bank account like UnionB EON? (not exceeding 500USD of course/month.

    3. If I can use regular savings account to verify my paypal account, can i use same account to “Bank Accounts”?

I dont use credit cards and all i have are savings bank accounts. Should a credit card is a main requirement in paypal, i feel like this payment system will just give me a lot of headache before I avail my money floating online.

    Kindly enlighthen me.

    2. do i get the EON cyberaccount or EON visa electron from unionbank?
    3. when signing up for a paypal account, do i hook it up with the CARD number or ACCOUNT number found on the EON card?
    4. which swift code should i use for Unionbank? UBPHPHMM or 010419995? just want to make sure im using the correct one when i withdraw funds. =)

    thanks sobra!!!!

  80. 82
    charles // May 20th, 2008 at 10:12 am

    @Larry08

    1. as long as you have a real and active email address, you can register as premier or personal account in paypal. They only differ in certian limits and features of withdrawing funds and others.
    2. either of the two (EON cyberaccount or EON visa electron) will do. As for me, I am using the latter.
    3. when registering your account to withdraw to bank feature, your account number will be used.
    4. Yes I am using the bank code of UNION BANK OF THE PHILS which is 010419995.

    I hope this helps.

  81. 83
    cutelildrow // June 4th, 2008 at 5:34 pm

Heads up to everyone: as long as you are withdrawing to your Eon bank account (and not to card) and are withdrawing more than 7k pesos, the transaction is free~ Anything lower costs you.

You can actually find the exchange rate that Paypal uses somewhere on their site, but it requires some digging (I think it’s somewhere under Fees) and it’s rather bad, but there ya go. It changes day to day too T_T

Took me about 5 days to withdraw to my Eon account, but that’s okay with me. It could be faster, but I can’t really quibble.

I verified my Paypal using my BPI credit card. Then I added my EON card as a credit card but was rejected but then later I added it as a bank account. However, upon reading your blog and comments, I learned I added the wrong number. I added the card number and not the account number. I withdrew my money last May 29 pa and until now wala pa sa EON card ko. Is this due to incorrect bank account that I entered? If this is the case, diba dapat babalik sa paypal yung money ko with charges? Its been more than a week and Im exasperated and I need my money badly. I would appreciate you giving light on this. BTW, I just emailed paypal customer service about this. Still awaiting for their reply. Thanks a lot.

    Hi Charles,

I’m really thankful that I bumped into your blog. I have a problem, my client in the US mailed me to let me know that he sent my payment already to my paypal account, but I didn’t get any notification from paypal, and I just realized that the reason is because he mistyped my email, it’s missing one letter. So what will happen now? Can my client still retrieve that payment since it’s not being accepted yet? I really hope that’s still possible because it would really be so bad if I will loose my hard earned money. Please advice. Thank you so much.

Hi. I would like to ask if you can use the “Withdraw to Bank Account” option if you have an Eon card of Unionbank? Or is Eon solely for the “Withdraw to Card” option? Thanks.

So freaking mad!!! I am one of those unlucky people having problems with withdrawing money from Paypal to my Unionbank EON card account. I withdrew money to my EON card last September 10 and September 18 respectively and my PayPal Account Withdrawal Status is already “COmpleted”. I expected that in a matter of 5 days all things will be cleared and the money will have to be in my EON account. Today is September 27, 2008 but still I am not seeing any trace of my hard-earned money. Is there someone else out there who had the same problem lately?

    stressout // October 6th, 2008 at 4:07 pm

Chelle, same problem with you. I withdraw money from Sept 11 and 14. Sept 11 went thru but the 14th I am trying to figure it out where it is. I got 22,000 reasons to run after that money. Been going back and forth to union bank sending emails of which either one was never replied. Been calling paypal in the US as well as email. It’s the tracing or the investigation I have been waiting for, they said 24 to 48 hours till now nothing happens.

    Here are some revelations:

From the correspondence I have paypal:

    1. It has been the usual mode that it takes about 3-5 days to get the funds on my eon, yet around 3 agents from paypal replied to my email saying:

    agent 1: 3-5 days
    agent 2: 7-10 days
    agent 3: 10-14 days

Why the inconsistencies? Does it mean the agents are not well-oriented about how many days it will sink in? Also they said US bank will take about 3-5days and not international banks. But why is it usually it will takes 3-5days before and all of a sudden for 14 days.

    2. The supervisor from paypal told me that I have to wait for the 14th day before they start the tracing, the investigation about the money. Indeed I called them up for follow-up and initiated the tracing said about 3-5days.

2.1 I email them up and another agent said it will take 24-48 hours.
2.2 I called up paypal and a supervisor admitted that there was indeed delay on their system and he apologized for it. Finally, he admitted its paypal’s fault.
2.3 I called up paypal again and talked to a supervisor, she did her homework. Send me email saying, they are still investigating and it was wrong for them to say about the timeframe.
2.4 Calling paypal again and the last supervisor like shouting at me and as if she is mad at me coz I have been annoying them, which I should be since it is my money and I don’t know where it is.

From the correspondence I have with Unionbank:

    1. I called up the Customer Service and with all the waiting for an agent to answer, I told the agent I don’t want to waste money calling since I am from outside manila and I am calling a number in Manila it will be very costly for me. The agent told me to go to any branch in union bank and let them call Manila for me to make life easier.

I know union bank has this centralized system based in Manila. So, I went to the branch where my eon card was issued. Guess what? Nothing happens. All they told me is that they can’t trace the transaction since they don’t communicate with paypal.

To my conclusion, all they do is issue the card and that’s it. They can’t do anything about it.

    2. I get hold with the person assigned to paypal in Unionbank and I talked with him and even their leader, and I was so pissed off I even said swearing words, however, it didn’t even work. They sent email to manila to trace the transactions and the leader told me there has been 3-4 more cases same with me and no progress of the query ever since.

    3. finally today oct. 6, 2008. I discover something, I went to another unionbank branch. The woman was very helpful and she talk again to the leader whom I let her call up. As I was listening to their conversation, I heard that there was something wrong with the system for VISA ( the corporate company). I confirmed it with the leader I talked with her and she said yes. I told her, how many cases already same with me and what did you do about them. She said increased to 10 cases already and still no money was credited to those other people same case with me.

    4. I do asked her tell me how the system works? She said they will receive a credit report from VISA with the amount, account number and name of the account holder. There is no reference number so called. As you can see, the PUBB code you can see in your system it’s like a transaction number from eon to you when they credit the amount. (as she confirmed)

Now, I am waiting for the investigation to be over and hopefully money will be credited back to my account in paypal or be in my eon account. Also that leader handling the transaction for paypal to eon, I told her to contact VISA about this matter.

I did my homework, diligent enough to investigate who has the fault. Now, came there are 3 parties involved. paypal, VISA, and unionbank (for eon)

Now who is at fault here? Is it paypal due to the Bank of America issue with the $700 billion bailout and they are trying to hold the money.

But I was told by paypal once the transaction is “completed” it already left paypal’s system and it is now on the banking institution which is also logical. Also, they follow certain rules and guidelines like any bank in the US for matters like these.

But what about those threads running around in http://www.paypalwarning.com about paypal, but the agent told me about this issue he said its about more on ebay thing, and there are some measures not been followed that is why its like that.

Or is it Unionbank? Since I have read on the site in unionbank that it has shares in Bank of America, (if I can remember it right). Are they holding the money? But they can’t credit money to eon account not unless they receive something.

Been reading in the threads and its said if its bank accounts no problem with the withdrawal. So meaning, eon which is visa electron classed as a debit/credit card, something wrong with it? If choosing the option to visa card rather the bank account. But yet I have talked with a customer and she withdraw $50 from paypal to her BDO and yet it did not arrived. Hmmmm, what is going on here? Is it the internet banking or the system involved in the internet banking that made the transactions from certain dates in September seemed to be lost in the thin air?

Now, the new party involved VISA. It will now boil down whether VISA is indeed a party to this issue. It is as if there is an intermediary involved that affects the system of transferring the money from paypal to eon.

I am still on the look out now and trying to investigate who is at fault and why these things happened for certain few. Is it because we are filipinos and we are discriminated?

To all readers and who have same issue with me, let’s just hope we can get the answer we have been waiting for and get back our money which we worked hard for. Nobody has the right to take it from us.

I hope this comment of mine have enlighten up your minds regarding this money not credited to our eon account. I did everything yet no money credited.

Where is my money? Who knows where, it might be in paypal, visa or in unionbank.

I’m still planning to get a Paypal account. Hope anyone could enlightened me on these:

    1. How will I transfer my funds from Paypal to my bank account?
    2. Does my bank account need to be in dollar account?
    3. What are the possible fees that will be charged to me and how much would that be?
    4. Can I transfer my Paypal funds directly to my ATM account? If yes, how? If no, does it mean I will need to go to my bank to have it withdrawn?
    4. Can I also transfer my Paypal funds to my credit card? If yes, how and how much is the fee?

    Thanks!

Hey guys its time you should know the truth about transfer of funds from paypal to your bank accounts.
    Here are the procedures:
    1. If your bank is an accredited bank of PayPal’s bank then it will take 2 days due to timezone difference.
    2. If your bank is not an accredited bank of PayPal’s bank then their bank would seek a bank where your bank is accredited (meaning just like a middlemen) kaya nagtatagal.

Like Bank A(paypals) goes to bank B(middlemen/agent) to your bank(bank C) kaya matagal.

Ok.I’m from the bank, that’s why I know.

Kapag sobrang tagal. well mukhang marami siguro ginagawa ang remittance people nila kaya na pepending.

    Ritche // November 4th, 2009 at 6:13 pm

Just to repeat what’s been stated here by other posters…

1.)Always withdraw to your Bank Account NOT to card. If you are using Eon, use the savings account number (right at the top of your name on the card in smaller black fonts).

If you don’t how to do this…log on to your paypal account, go to withdrawal tab, then choose withdraw to bank account, enter the correct, I repeat…correct bank name, bank account numbers and account name. Incorrect details will delay your withdrawal by weeks! Also they charge you a hefty fee for returned funds so please check, double check and countercheck your bank account details.

2.) check your Eon account on the 2nd banking/business day at about 7PM, the funds should be there. Do this online so you don’t have to line up or you go to a Union Bank ATM and check there. Once you see your funds, you can withdraw & shop away :)

I have been withdrawing funds from my paypal account through Union Bank this way for more than 6 months. It never has failed me yet.

Hey guys, This is my 3rd time na ng withdraw ako from my paypal account. Ito ung experience ko.

    1. ) 1st withdraw ko to BPI date(Oct 13, 2009): ang sabi ng confirmation.

“This request usually takes 2-4 business days to process but may vary by bank.We estimate that these funds will be deposited in your bank account by Oct. 20, 2009.”

but yung funds pumasok cya Oct. 21, 2009

    2.) 2nd withdraw ko, same bank to BPI(Oct 15, 2009)

“The transfer normally takes 2-4 business days. The money should be in your bank account by Oct 23, 2009.”

Good News: but yung funds pumasok cya same date Oct. 21, 2009

3.) ito ung 3rd withdraw ko(Oct. 31, 2009) So I tried Union bank kasi sabi nila mabilis lang daw pag EON.

“The transfer normally takes 2-4 business days. The money should be in your bank account by Nov 7, 2009.”

    Time check: 12:30pm
    Date: November 07,2009

until ngayon wala pa Yung Pera ko.. Hopefully mamaya nasa account ko na! or least patay sila. I need cash nah!!!. :)

:. I conclude sa BPI nlng ako next magwithdraw at hindi na sa EON. 7days ang tagal bago makuha!!!

To Albert or Charles or anybody:
This is my first time to withdraw from my paypal account.
I’ve already added a BPI Account. Tama ba yung 9 digit bpi paypal bank code na=>010040018?
Now I click withdraw then it led me to “link and confirm your debit or credit card” it said that I need to enter a 4 digit paypal code from my credit card statement before I can withdraw funds from my bank account and it also said that when I click “save and continue”, my credit card will be charged
$1.95 but they will refund this amount to my paypal acct after the card has been confirmed.
Where will I get the 4 digit code?

  111. 114
    Ritche // November 19th, 2009 at 2:28 am

    @Albert…

The reason why hindi pumasok agad sa Eon ang pera mo is that November 7 is a Saturday. Normally pumasok na yan sa account mo at mawithdraw on November 10…7-8:30PM. That is…if you choose to withdraw the paypal fund to your Eon Savings Account, not to card. If sa card, matagal talaga. But if you withdrew the funds to your Eon Savings Account, 2 Banking days lang yan.

Walang paltos sa akin for many months now, and that’s where I get my odesk salary…so that’s why I am so conscious of the time element with regards to receiving pesos from paypal through Eon.

    Grace…
For the 4-digit paypal code, eto sa experience ko:
1.) If you’re using Eon, check your online balance/statement on the 3rd day you had it verified with paypal. Log in to your Eon cyberaccount, check last 10 transactions/history. You can see it there. No need to call if customer service is a pain the butt. You can acess it.

2.) If you are using BPI and enrolled with expressonline, you can also check the 4-digit paypal code there.

  112. 115
    Albert // November 19th, 2009 at 3:35 am

Nope, the reason why kung bakit matagal pumasok sa bank account kasi instead na bank account number, ung nasulat ko is ung card number. Kasi nga sa BPI ung 16digit ung bank account nla I thought the same lang den sa EON. Isa pa may holiday kasi nun(Nov 02) usually kasi daw pag may holiday matagal talaga. BTW, ngayon lang ng response ung Union Bank regarding this complain via email for almost 1 week. Buti nlng ni reject na nla. At this point I’m waiting for paypal para ma return ung fund. Hopefully meron na bukas para ma withdraw ko na sa BPI at hindi na sa EON..^_^

    Grace // November 20th, 2009 at 9:25 am

Desh, mukha ngang di pa verified ang account ko. Kasi status ko unverified. I click “get verified” and it went to link my debit or credit card=>it says:

1)I have been charged $1.95 but this charge will be refunded to my paypal account after I confirm my card.
2)it also says”CHECK YOUR CARD STATEMENT IN 2-3 DAYS AND FIND THE 4 DIGIT PAYPAL CODE FOR THE CHARGE”

Question: What card statement do they mean?My credit card statement? I will receive it pa on the first week of December! Or are they referring to different card statement?

3)For the third step it says: when I get my 4 digit paypal code, “return to paypal and enter the 4 digit code to confirm your card” If I have the 4 digit code, does the “return to paypal” mean to log in at my paypal account then where will I go to key in the 4 digit code?

Thanks a lot Guys! I know you are all my angels!

    Ritche // November 20th, 2009 at 9:58 am

    @Grace:

    1. for the bpi 4-digit card, some clarifications…if you used your bpi atm card numbers as the debit/credit card for paypal verification (I believe pwede kasi mastercard din and BPI), you just log in expressonline and check you statement if you have been deducted. Look at the column on type of transaction, you can see it there. Again, this is appplicable only if you used your BPI atm card numbers as a debit/credit card.

    2. if you used a credit card, not bpi, to get verified, try to check with your cc’s customer service or if your cc has an online service like HSBC where you can see your cc real time transactions, you can also find the 4-digit number there.

    3. Once you get that 4-digit number, log in to paypal and encode it on the appropriate section.

since u will have ur cc on dec naman wait mo nlng til dec haha pra mas okey…
and ung 1.95 na USD babalik un sau so dont worry hehehe…

I don’t know how BPI cc works on this but just call their customer service to ask for the transaction code or ask them if there is a way you can view your statements online, in case the have an online service like the other cc’s.

just click/go to the link/confirm my card section. you will find it there.

good luck and enjoy using your pay pal.

Yes, I think Desh is right. May fee ata sa BPI but I am not sure if it’s 250. I am using Union Bank which doesn’t charge anything for withdrawal from paypal as long as it’s above 7,000.

There are also currency differentials, as with all remittance/incoming $ to pesos, I think paypal has to earn some way for the service. As for the 3.4% fee, are you using a personal or business account for paypal?

    2. Or will i write the whole number of my total balance includign the decimals and currency?

If somebody could help me of this ..please please help me how and what to write..im olready pissed of here i dont know what to do..im tired olready coming back here in cafe learning how to get my money but so may times its always a failure..

    Thank You so much…

Hi zena! sorry for the late reply…it’s only now that i had the time to view my mails.before you make the transfer or w/drawal from your paypal account,
    1) Were you able to add a bank account already in your paypal?
log in to your paypal account then choose the option add a bank account. then fill out the info like your complete bpi account number and 9 digit paypal code in this case for bpi it’s 010040018. make sure your paypal name and name per your bpi account are the same.
    2) is your paypal account already verified? you need to verify muna your paypal account. in my case kasi, when i opened my paypal account, yung bpi credit card ko ang naka encode. so, what i did was follow their procedure so they can verify if my bpi credit card is valid.there is an option somewhere near your name sa ‘my account’indicating -unverified’verify your account’i click mo yun
kaya since it’s my bpi credit card, i was temporarily charged thru my credit card $1.95 kaya after few days, i checked my credit card statement online to see what the 4 digit code they indicated per credit card billing.by the time i saw the 4 digit code, i logged in at my paypal account again and indicated the 4 digit code.thus, my account was verified na. then that’s the time i made the transfer/withdrawal na from my paypal account to my bpi account.
what did you encode ba when you open your paypal account?
it can be your credit card or eon card(unionbank).

Need Help… I already verified my eon card on paypal and already had a withdrawal transfer to my bank account and on my paypal history says its already completed….

But its not showing on my online eon cyber account….

One thing is I think I put my 16 digit card number to my back account and make it as primary and used it to withdraw funds….

Did I make wrong about it… and I cant get my money because i used my card number not my account number but paypal says its transfer is complete…

Pls guys need your thoughts about this situation thanks in advanced….

    Hi there,

Nag open kasi ako ng BPI DIRECT SAVING “Express Teller” i’ll use it to withdraw funds in Paypal thru “BANK”

Yung question ko alin sa dalawa yung account number ko.

Yung 16 DIGIT ba na makikita sa front ng card or yung 10 Digit na nasa likod ng card.

Hoping for your prompt reply admin, bookmark ko pala blog mo.
