UFC 108 Evans vs Silva fight event is scheduled this coming Saturday January 2, 2010 10pm ET/ 7PM PT live on Pay-Per-View (PPV) from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Round 1 – Good energy in the building as the main event begins. Referee Yves Lavigne draws duty as the head official in the cage. Mixed crows reactions for both fighters, but definitely loud. Evans takes the center and rushes in quickly. Silva defends in the clinch with his back to the cage. Evans presses in, and Silva grabs the head. Evans drops and earns the takedown. Silva right back up. Evans grabs him at the waist, elevates, and slams. Evans in side control one minute in. Evans quickly to mount. Silva spins out and returns to his feet. Action still in the clinch, and chants of “Silva” erupt. Evans maintains the clinch, but Silva eventually escapes. Both trade in the center, though neither hurts the other. Evans shoots in after catching a punch and lands a double-leg. Silva rolls out and escapes to his feet. Silva lands a low kick and catches a jab. Evans chasing. Silva sneaks in an uppercut and backs away. Evans attacks, but Silva covers up and is pushed to the cage. Evans lands a combo, a nice shot to the gut, and another takedown. Silva immediately back up. Round 3 – Silva looks frustrated on his stool in between rounds. The tow meet quickly in the center. Silva circles, and Evans shoots. Silva sprawls, but his back is again on the cage. Evans pushes away and the pair resets in the center. Lead left scores for Silva. Evans with another takedown. Tries to move to back, but Silva stands. Silva with heavy exhales as he looks for a shot. Silva again calls for action as he chases Evans down. Two minutes in. Silva riles the crowd as he tries to engage in a firefight. Evans throws a wild overhand. Silva mimics Evans bouncy style with his hands at his side. Evans fires a 1-2. Silva shakes his arms and wants a brawl. Two punches land for the Brazilian, and Evans is in trouble Silva lands three more punches. Evans hanging on for deat life. Silva bounces and unleashes. Knees, punches. He needs to finish. Evans looks like her might be recovered. Silva with his hands at his side, but he has one minute left to work. Silva walks away, but he needs to finish. He let Evans off the hook.
