Here we are at last. It is all set. The 2010 NBA Finals is set. The West Finals series has just been wrapped up as the Lakers wins series 4-2 against the Suns. So, It will be between Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics. For 2010 NBA finals schedule, scroll below.

Over 1,305 games played in the course of 7 months and 28 teams and 400 players sent on vacation. The two teams still standing are the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers, who will face off in the Finals for the 12th time.This is the Celtics’ 21st trip to the Finals while the Lakers’ 31st.

The NBA 2010 Finals will be under a Thursday-Sunday-Tuesday rotation, and will begin on Thursday, June 3, 2010 in Los Angeles. The Western Conference Champion will hold home-court advantage as the Lakers have a better regular season record than the Eastern Conference Champion Boston Celtics. The Lakers against the Celtics set up a cross-coast rivals for a rematch of the 2008 finals. The Lakers are looking for some revenge for 2008, while the Celtics want to take back what’s theirs.

GAME 1 UPDATE: LA Lakers beats Celtics 102-89 to take Game 1 of the NBA Finals Thursday night. Kobe Bryant scored 30 points, Pau Gasol had 23 points and 14 rebounds. Ron Artest scored 15 points after tumbling to the ground in a tangle with Paul Pierce in the opening minute of the 12th finals meeting in the NBA’s most scintillating rivalry. Pierce scored 24 points for the Celtics. Game 2 is Sunday night.

GAME 2 UPDATE: Rondo records triple-double, Allen breaks 3-point record as the Celtics take Game 2 103-94 and tied the series at 1 apiece. Ray Allen scored 27 of his 32 points in the first half with a record-setting 3-point shooting display while Rajon Rondo completed a triple-double 19 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists, his fifth playoff triple-double. Kobe Bryant scored 21 points. The Lakers hadn’t lost a home playoff game since last year’s Western Conference finals. Game 3 is Tuesday night in Boston.

GAME 3 UPDATE: Kobe Bryant scored 29 points and Derek Fisher added 16 to lead Los Angeles to a 91-84 victory over the Boston Celtics on Tuesday night and give the Lakers a 2-1 lead in the NBA Finals.The Lakers regained home-court advantage they had lost when Boston took Game 2 in Los Angeles. Game 4 is Thursday night still in Boston. Kevin Garnett, who had just six points in Boston’s victory Sunday, had 25 in Game 3. But Ray Allen, who had 32 points in Game 2, missed all 13 field goal attempts — one shy of the NBA Finals futility record.

GAME 4 UPDATE: Backup Glen “Big Baby” Davis scored half of his 18 points in the fourth quarter, leading the Celtics bench as it pulled away from the Los Angeles Lakers to win 96-89 on Thursday night and the Celtics even the best-of-seven series at 2 games apiece. Game 5 is Sunday night in Boston. The Celtics’ win guaranteed them a trip back to Los Angeles and averted a 3-1 deficit that has never been overcome in NBA history. Kobe Bryant scored 33 points and Pau Gasol had 21 for the Lakers. Paul Pierce scored 19 points, Kevin Garnett had 13 and Ray Allen bounced back from a seven-quarter shooting slump to score 12 points for Boston.

GAME 5 UPDATE: Boston Celtics beat the Lakers 92-86 to grab the series lead 3-2 in the NBA 2010 Finals. It’s looking a lot like 2008 again, with Paul Pierce carrying the Boston Celtics to victory in the NBA finals and leading them to the brink of yet another title.  Pierce scored 27 points — his best performance of this year’s finals — and the Celtics withstood 38 points from Kobe Bryant on Sunday night. Game 6 is Tuesday night in Los Angeles, and a victory then or in Game 7 in L.A. on Thursday would give the Celtics a record 18th NBA championship.

GAME 6 UPDATE: Lakers rout Celtics, force Game 7 in NBA finals. Kobe Bryant scored 26 points, Pau Gasol added 17 points and 13 rebounds, and the Lakers held Boston to the second lowest-scoring performance in NBA finals history in an 89-67 victory, setting up a winner-take-all Game 7 on Thursday June 17th.

GAME 7 UPDATE: A Game 7 classic—and this time, it finally went the Lakers’ way. Beating Boston for the first time in a Game 7, the Lakers came up champions again after trailing in the last quarter of the last game of their season. Kobe Bryant, the finals MVP, scored 23 points despite 6-of-24 shooting and the Lakers won their 16th NBA championship Thursday night, dramatically rallying from a fourth-quarter deficit to beat the Boston Celtics 83-79 in Game 7 of the NBA finals.
