Do you know who Marhgil Macuha is? Yes, you heard it right, Marhgil Macuha. He is the one who organized, rather the one behind the Pinay Scandal SEO contest. I guess he is successful on this one because doing a search on google, he is on page 1. Way to go buddy.

I’m writing this post because I am joining The $150 Anniversary Mini-SEO Contest of Marhgil Macuha, his first mini-SEO contest with a prize. That’s enough moolah to spend for after New Year, right?

Here are the mechanics:

Who can join?

Anyone with a blog and has the ability to receive money from Paypal can join.

How to join?
Simply make a blog post about anything you can think about the contest keyword. Then, submit your entries by commenting on this blog post with your full name and your PayPal e-mail. You can submit as many entries as you want, as long as it is a blog post. The more entries, the more chances of winning.

How to win?
If your blog post ranks the highest on the mentioned search engines for the keyword on January 4, 2008, 8:00PM, Philippine Time, then you win! I’ll post a screenshot of the winners on January 4.

How to claim the prizes?
I’ll send the prizes via PayPal at most one week after the contest is concluded. No other way. Prizes are not convertible to car. So, be ready with your PayPal account, ok?

Required links.
A link to this blog (http://www.macuha.com) is required. The required link should be seen on the cached page during the decision making. Link any way you want, as long as there is no nofollow on it.

Contest keyword.
The contest keyword is Marhgil Macuha Of course, I’m disqualified on this contest. Any blog posts written before December 10, 2007 mentioning my name are disqualified too.

oo nga eh. we still have 3 weeks to go before contest due.
But just a question, does having a PR has an advantage for the SERPs right? How about blogs that doesn’t have PR or has a PR of 0? hehe

Thanks McBilly. Your post too is hovering at page 1 too. Hope we can sustain this for 3 weeks. haha.
It’s just that my post took 1 day+ to be indexed by Google. I thought it won’t compete with you guys with PR.
I know having a PR has an advantage in the SERPs.

Oo nga eh. Medyo natagalan lang na-indexed ng Google. But still, blogs with PR has an advantage over at Google’s SERPs.

We still have 3 weeks to go. Google Search Engine results are still changing.

naku wag kang maniwala sa pr kalokohan un hahaha. ewan ko bat nga ang bagal mag index ng yahoo. hanggang wala pa ako dun. lokong yahoo un ah pinagkakaisahan ako hahaha.

About sa PR, I think malaking bagay nga yun.. kung 1 point ang isang link for Marhgil Macuha, more that a point kung mataas yung PR ng source ng link..
