UPDATE: Pacquiao Wins Via 8th round TKO over De La Hoya
This Boxing Dream Match of Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar Dela Hoya was on the news for quite a while now. The much anticipated boxing bout between Pacman and The Golden Boy is now set and is in the final stages and preparation and no one can stop them except for injury and health related problems. Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar De la Hoya scheduled fight will be held at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas on December 6, 2008 (December 7, 2008 AM Philippine time). As of press time, nothing yet was made public on how much each of them will receive or pocket for this Dream Match fight.
Oscar Dela Hoya is a more experienced fighter, a much heavier & stronger fighter than Manny Pacquiao. His record stands at 39 wins, 5 loses with 30 wins by knock-out, while Pacquiao has 47 wins, 3 loses, 2 draws and 35 KO victories under his belt. Actually, there are some people (here in the Philippines) that were trying to stop this fight for they knew that this is a mismatch. They said that fighting against Oscar Dela Hoya, who is 4 inches taller than Manny, and has 5 inches more reach compared to that of Pacquiao, is simply a crazy and jokey dream.
(Quoted from selaplana.com) Is Oscar Dela Hoya really more experienced than Pacman? Well, talking about their professional experience Manny Pacman Pacquiao who fought 52 (47 wins with 35 by KO, 2 draws, 3 losses) professional fights is more experienced than Oscar Dela Hoya who fought only 44 (39 wins with 30 by KO, 5 losses) professional fights. But Oscar Dela Hoya started as an amateur who won (all in all) 223 wins with 163 by TKO and has 5 losses. Besides, Oscar Dela Hoya is a 10 time champion in 6 divisions while Manny Pacman Pacquiao is only 4 time champion in just 4 divisions. So, by just thinking of these things, I think Manny has no chance to win the fight.
So, Will it be Oscar dela Hoya or Manny Pacman Pacquiao? Or Will Manny Pacquiao beat Dela Hoya, now that he’s bigger at 146 lbs and maybe (just maybe) slower after gaining some weight?
Mark your calendar for this will be an exciting and one hell of a bout to watch. Of course, I will also watch this fight. Talking about Pacquiao vs Dela Hoya Live fight online video streaming, will try my best to update some links if there’s someone who will share it with me. Also, Manny Pacquiao Vs Oscar De la Hoya Fight Results will also be posted here as soon as it happens.
As usual, with my past pacquiao’s boxing fight coverage such as the Pacquiao vs Marquez 2 fight, I will try and do my best to update and do a round by round live coverage and also post their boxing fight video as soon it is available and uploaded to video sites. These fighters represent a bit of what we like to think is in ourselves if we are not in the fighting business. What appears to viewers of the fight is something that is close to the primal nature of most individuals, which is what we might assume people would be like if they were not so controlled/civilized/restrained in public spaces.
definitely i’ll win this!
