mv-logoAs we all know, YouTube is the number 1 video sharing site in the internet right now and has so many serious competitor,  one of them is MegaVideo. Others called Megavideo as the self proclaimed Youtube Killer. Do you agree with that? Anyways, I have received emails asking about How to Download Videos From MegaVideo and I have here few ways to show. Below, you can follow three (3) different simple steps in which you can download videos from Megavideo and enjoy it from your desktop.

Step 1 (using Internet Explorer):

  1. Open your MegaVideo video in your browser and let it load fully.
  2. After you are done watching the video online, go to Tools -> Internet Options -> Settings -> View Files (For IE)
  3. Now you will get a large size file with long name and unknown type there
  4. Copy and paste that file in your desktop, this file is the video file in flv format
  5. Rename it with flv extension, say e.g. sample.flv

Step 2 (Using Megvideo Video Downloader tool):

  1. Download the Megavideo Video Downloader Tool
  2. Perform the setup for the Megavideo Video Downloader Tool
  3. Launch the application and find the URL of the video you want to download that is hosted on Megavideo site.
  4. Enter the URL of the video into the Megavideo Video Downloader tool as shown below and click on the add button.
  5. Select the folder or directory where you want to save the downloaded video.
  6. Select the format in which you want to download the video.
  7. Click on the start button to begin download of the video.

Tips:  You can automatically start the downloads by clicking on the checkbox next to autostart download located top right. Also, you can also download multiple videos from Megavideo at once.

Step 3 (Using Firefox Browser add-on):

  1. Download and install the Video DownloadHelper Firefox add-on.
  2. Open your MegaVideo video in your Firefox browser and click the play button.
  3. Right click the mouse anywhere in the page as long as not on the video, then hover it to “Download Helper” option. (See image below)
  4. Then hover it to Media option, you will see the video filename in .flv that you want to download
  5. Click the filename, then save it.
  6. Download “Moyea FLV Player” to play the downloaded videos.

Note:

  • if your Windows Media player can not read the downloaded videos, install and use FLV Player or VLC media player as these software’s are already tested and proven.
