Right now, some bloggers and webmasters are integrating Adsense for search boxes on their websites so that their users can allow to search for keywords, articles or posts and at the same time earning a chance to get click revenue. But I have been asking myself (or maybe some out there are also wondering) if it is okay or fine to use our own Google Adsense for Search boxes to search keywords, articles or posts in our own site? The answer is yes, it is fine to use it as long as you don’t click on the Ads that appear in the results page. Does this violates Google’s program policies to perform searches in our own Adsense for search boxes? Google’s stand is NO, this doing and activity is not explicitly prohibited in their program policies.
But Google strongly advise not to use our Adsense for Search to search our own site for a couple of reasons. First, it can increase the chance of accidental or invalid clicks on the ads that appear on the search results pages. Second, this will inflate the number of queries in your reports, giving you an inaccurate picture of the activity on your site. Also Google is recommending us that if we would like to use Google search, just visit Google.com or download and install Google Toolbar.
