Feedburner RSS Stats going down

November 4th, 2007 Posted by Admin under Blogging & Tips, Personal with 7 Comments

Update: Feedburner RSS stats going back to normal now and still updating some blog sites.

Have you noticed your Feedburner RSS stats recently? Go check it out. While surfing and reading some post to some of my A-list bloggers (John Chow, Shoemoney, John Cow), I have noticed that their feedburner RSS stats are going down and are slashed by hundreds and even thousands. What’s going on? Is Google doing something to FeedBurner? Are they cleaning up some idle RSS subscribers or what? Or is this just a glitch in their system?

Here are some captured feeds:

John Chow from 13K+ RSS Subscribers down to John Chow Feedburner

ShoeMoney from 21K+ RSS Subscribers down to ShoeMoney Feedburner

John Cow from 700+ RSS Subscribers down to John Cow Feedburner

How about you? What are your thoughts on this?

Thanks for the heads up Charles. I checked my rss subscribers and got me bummed out. From my puny 40+ readers, I got slashed down to 16 rss counts. Hmm. What the hell happened? What about your rss count Charles? Did it get affected?

Woops. I didn’t see your feedburner count earlier because of the partial loading of the page. But I just saw it now, I guess it also got affected. Hmm.

Mine too just got slashed from 10 to 6. :) I hope this is just a glitch in their system.

It seems it is a glitch in their system. Well, according to Darren that is. I actually posted a reply in my blog. No need to worry after all Charles.

Also, a big thanks for letting me know. :)

I’m glad it’s not just me. One day I have 25, the next 12. It fluctuates every day, and a lot, which is an emotional roller coaster ride for a newbie like me.
