Sinulog Festival 2009, the country’s biggest festival, is set to take the center stage once again in Cebu City. And Yes, we are going to Sinulog Festival 2009! It has been 3 years ago that we’ve attended and celebrated Sinulog in Cebu. That was Sinulog 2006.

Sinulog Festival is the most colorful and grandest festival in Cebu City, Philippines. It is one of the biggest celebrations in Cebu City in which the event attracts revelers and religious devotees from all over the Philippines. Thousands of tourists also flock during the Cebu City Fiesta period. The Grand Parade of Sinulog Festival of Cebu, the main festival, is usually held every year on the third Sunday of January in Cebu City to honor the Santo Niño, or the child Jesus, who used to be the patron saint of the whole province of Cebu. Other activities/events are also held prior to the grand highlight like the fluvial parade, beauty pageants, cultural shows, nine-day novena, some food exhibitions and a whole lot more.
