Amir Khan annihilates Salita in 1. WBA super lightweight champion Amir Khan (22-1, 16 KOs) destroyed previously unbeaten Dmitiry Salita (30-1-1, 16 KOs) in the 1st round on Saturday night December 5 at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle, England.

Khan decked Salita immediately with a right hand after barely 10 seconds, and Salita was sent down again from a barrage of punches then hurt him with a left, forcing another count. The fight was finally stopped by referee Luis Pabon after the third knockdown after only 76 seconds.

This is Khan’s first defense of the title he won by beating Andreas Kotelnik of Ukraine in July.
