82nd Academy Awards 2010 Oscar AwardsComplete List of Nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards have already been revealed and were announced Tuesday morning, February 2, 2010 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, by Tom Sherak, president of the Academy, and actress Anne Hathaway. On June 24, 2009, then-Academy president Sid Ganis announced at a press conference that the 2010 ceremony will feature ten Best Picture nominees instead of five.

The 82nd Academy Awards ceremony, presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, will honor the best films of 2009 and will take place March 7, 2010, at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. It will be televised in the United States on ABC. Actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will host the show. Martin will host for the third time, after previously presiding over the 73rd and 75th ceremonies, while Baldwin will host the show for the first time. (Source)

Avatar and The Hurt Locker lead all Academy Award nominees with nine (9) nominations apiece, including Best Motion Picture and his and hers Best Directing nods for former spouses James Cameron and Kathryn Bigelow. Inglourious Basterds is close behind with eight (8) , followed by Precious and Up in the Air with six (6).

Meryl Streep, up for Best Actress for Julie & Julia, extends her reign as the most nominated performer in Academy history, with her 16th nod.
