52nd Annual Grammy Nominees

The nominees for the 52nd Grammys or the 2010 Grammys were announced Wednesday night. For the second year in a row the nominees were revealed in a televised concert special on CBS.

Beyoncé led this year’s nominee list with 10 Grammy nomination, followed closely by Taylor Swift with 8 nominations.  The Black Eyed Peas, Maxwell and Kanye West all tied with 6 nominations. Despite being ineligible for the “Best New Artist” category – Lady Gaga managed to score 5 nominations – including “Song of The Year.” Likewise, Jay-Z also with 5 nods.

All signs pointing to 2009’s lady-domination in the music world with top nominations. Certainly, all three women deserve ample recognition; each is among the best at what they do.

Receiving 4 nominations are Colbie Caillat, Kings of Leon, RedOne, T-Pain and Keith Urban.

The 52nd Annual Grammy Awards will take place on January 31, 2010. CBS will broadcast the event live which will take place again at Staples Center in Los Angeles, California for the 7th consecutive year.
