Shane Mosley Wins via 9th round TKO in a stunning upset and became the new WBA Welterweight CHAMPION of the world. Mosley totally dominated Margarito throughout the fight from start to finish. Mosley’s right hand proved to be the main weapon that had Margarito hurt in the 4th round. Margarito was knocked down in the seventh, but was saved by the bell to survive the round.
Despite his advancing age, the 37-year-old Mosley used his superior quickness from the beginning, and Margarito never was able to display the power and fortitude he showed against Cotto. Miss America 2009 was crowned on Saturday night in Atlantic City. Miss Indiana Katie Stam Wins Miss America 2009. Katie is fighting off a throat infection, laryngitis and 51 other contestants in that night to win the 88-year-old pageant. She is a communications major at the University of Indianapolis and wants one day to be a TV reporter.
The 22-year-old University of Indianapolis student drew loud applause for her rendition of “Via Dolorosa” during the talent portion of the pageant at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
