Here are the Men’s Quarter Finals match-up and results at Wimbledon.

Roger Federer defeated Ivo Karlovic 6-3, 7-5, 7-6 (3) Wednesday to reach the Wimbledon semifinals and move a step closer to a record 15th Grand Slam championship. Federer, closing in on his 6th Wimbledon title, reached his 21st consecutive semifinal at a Grand Slam tournament and extended his winning streak to 17 matches with another vintage performance on his favorite Centre Court.

On Centre Court, in other Men’s quarterfinals Wednesday, No. 3 Andy Murray of Britain defeated Spanish wild card and former No.1 Juan Carlos Ferrero 7-5, 6-3, 6-2.

On Court 1 (One),  Tommy Haas defeated Novak Djokovic 7-5 7-6(6) 4-6 6-3, while two-time finalist Andy Roddick (6) of USA hang on to 5 sets against 2002 champion Lleyton Hewitt of Australia 6-3 6-7(10) 7-6(1) 4-6 6-4.

2009 Wimbledon Semi Finals Matchups

Men’s Semifinals are set on Friday July 3, 2009:  Roger Federer (2) of Switzerland will face Tommy Haas (24) of Germany.While Andy Murray (3) of Great Britain will play Andy Roddick (6) of USA.

Women’s Semifinals are set for Thursday July 2, 2009, with the Williams sisters facing Russian opponents.

3rd-seeded Venus Williams, going for her third straight Wimbledon championship, will be up against No. 1 Dinara Safina.  Serena Williams, seeded No. 2, will face No. 4 Elena Dementieva. The Williams sisters could face each other in a Grand Slam final for the eighth time, and fourth in the Wimbledon title match.

WOMEN’S (July 2, 2009)

1st Semifinal:  Serena Williams (2) defeated Elena Dementieva (4)  6-7, 7-5, 8-6
2nd Semifinal:  Venus Williams (3) cruise easily past Dinara Safina (1)  6-1, 6-0 in just 51 minutes

It’s an all Williams in Wimbledon 2009 Womens Finals

MEN’S (July 3, 2009)

1st Semifinal: Roger Federer (2) defeated Tommy Haas (24) 7-6 (3), 7-5, 6-3. Federer’s seventh straight Wimbledon final.
2nd Semifinal: Andy Roddick (6) defeated Andy Murray (3) 6-4, 4-6, 7-6 (7), 7-6 (5)

Andy Roddick will face Roger Federer in Sunday’s Wimbledon Final.
