In the other semifinal match, Juan Martin Del Potro advances to his first Grand Slam final upsetting and defeating No. 3 seed Rafael Nadal in 3 straight sets 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

Juan Martin Del Potro did the unthinkable, upsets and stunned the Five-time Defending Champion.
Juan Martin Del Potro beat Roger Federer in 5 sets 6-3, 7-6(5), 6-4, 7-6(4), 6-2 on Monday night to win the US Open 2009 Men’s Title and the first Major of his career. The sixth-seeded del Potro had been 0-6 in his career against Federer.
The 20-year-old Argentine Del Potro is the first Argentine since Guillermo Vilas in 1977 to win the US Open.
