Who is Delfin DJ Montano? Another Scandal In the Making?

Posted under SEO, Scandal on April 4th 2008 with No Comments »

DJ Montano - Brian Gorrell Scandal picFirst question, Who is Delfin DJ Montano? I have no idea who really DJ Montano was not until The ABS-CBN interview with Australian Brian Gorrell which was aired last April 1, 2008 on TV Patrol, Bandila and a number of programs on ANC. So DJ Montano is a Filipino socialite who is the ex-lover of Brian Gorrell. The main story here is if really Mr. DJ Montano scammed? or stole? Brian Gorrell’s money amounting to $70,000 (P 2.8M+). This is a lot of money here in the Philippines. To follow “the soap opera” or whatever you call the story of DJ Montano and Brian Gorrell, go and visit The Talented Mr. Montano blog site with subtitle ‘My Attempts to Recover my Life’s Savings from DJ Montano authored by Brian Gorrell.

As for my opinion, the story is still brewing, let’s just wait for the dust to settle and decide if this is really a real life story. Maybe this is just a hot linkbait in the making or a scandal that is about to be exposed.

How about you? What’s your opinion about this talk of the town story? Post your comments below.  (image source from delfindjmontano.blogspot.com)

Google AdSense’s Sliding/Scrolling Text Ads is finally launched

Posted under Adsense, Make Money Online on April 3rd 2008 with No Comments »

After Google Adsense Optimization Update, and for about 3 months of testing their Google Adsense’s sliding or scrolling text ads which we have seen and noticed sometime last December 2007, Adsense officially announced it in their blog yesterday April 2, 2008. And for the record, clicks on the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons won’t generate earnings, but these buttons will help improve both advertiser value and your potential revenue. When users click on the buttons, they begin interacting with the ads and are more likely to find the specific offering they’re looking for, which can lead to higher earnings for you.

After months of testing, we’ve just updated our text ad format to include ‘next’ and ‘previous’ arrow buttons for cost-per-click (CPC) ads. When a user clicks on the ‘next’ button, an entirely new group of ads will appear in the ad unit, giving your users greater control over the ads they see and click.

While the ads the user initially sees may be relevant to a publisher’s content, they may not be precisely what the user is seeking — for example, a user may see ads about cheddar and brie cheese but would prefer more information about Swiss cheese. With the ‘next’ and ‘previous’ buttons, users can view more cheese ads until a Swiss cheese ad appears.

How about you Google Adsense publishers, what’s your take on this scrolling CPC text ads format?

American Idol 2008: Ramiele Malubay got axed

Filipino-American Ramiele Malubay - American Idol 2008 ContestantFilipino-American Ramiele Malubay - An American Idol 7 contestant – says goodbye to American Idol 2008 who got axed last Wednesday night (Thursday morning in Manila) on Fox’s “American Idol” show. Only eight of the contestants fights for the crown. Ramiele Malubay got the lowest votes from viewers who saw her rendition of Dolly Parton’s “Do I Ever Cross Your Mind” as unsatisfactory, echoing judge Simon Cowell’s comment that her performance was something “straight out of a cruise ship.” After the show, Ramiele acknowledged that she had difficulty in performing country music. Also, Judge Randy Jackson echoed Malubay’s performance as both “pretty good” and “kind of alright,” while the annoying Simon Cowell termed it “forgettable” and “reminiscent of something you would see and hear on a cruise ship.” I guess, it is not her night after all. The remaining Top 8 on American Idol are Michael Johns, David Archuleta, Carly Smithson, David Cook, Kristy Lee Cook, Syesha Mercado, Jason Castro, Brooke White.

Here’s Filipino-American Ramiele Malubay video rendition of Dolly’s Do I Ever Cross Your Mind.
